Vermont hunters know the frustration of dealing with strict hunting regulations-only one black bear per year and the long odds of winning a moose permit through a lottery system. At Garia Bay Outfitters, we have a solution. Leave Vermont’s limits behind and head into the wild, untamed landscapes of Newfoundland where the hunting is plenty and restrictions few.

Packages for Vermont Moose Hunters

The state of Vermont’s moose lottery permit is tough to crack; most hunters must wait several years for an opportunity and even then the options are few and far between.

For comparison, Newfoundland’s Garia Bay Outfitters offers immediate access to one of the densest moose populations in North America–120,000 strong.

Leave the lottery behind and come moose hunting with an 85% success rate where any challenge comes not from waiting but from the pursuit of your trophy in the wildest corners of Newfoundland.

Packages for Vermont Bear Hunters

In Vermont, bear hunters are limited to just one black bear per year. At Garia Bay Outfitters, we offer Vermont hunters the chance to double their game -literally.

Our Newfoundland grounds provide access to vast, remote bear country, and we offer a second bear tag, something Vermont simply doesn’t allow for bear hunting.

Why settle for one when you can experience the thrill of a multi-bear hunt in Newfoundland’s rugged terrain?

Packages For Vermont Atlantic Salmon Anglers

Our moose average between 850-1,100 lbs, while black bears can grow to over 300 lbs. With Newfoundland’s abundant wildlife, your chances of a trophy animal are high.

Yes, we provide experienced, professional guides for every hunt. This is so you have the highest chance of success on your hunts.

Hunting in the Newfoundland wilderness is pure adventure. There are thick stands of heavy forest, rolling hills, open meadows, boggy marshlands, and real elevation changes over rocky areas that can be challenging to travel. The weather can be unsettled at times with cooler temperatures-particularly in the morning and evening-and occasional rain or wind.

We highly recommend bringing sturdy and waterproof boots with good ankle support, as you’ll do quite a bit of trekking across uneven and often wet ground. Layering will be key for constantly changing weather conditions: from moisture-wicking base layers up to a weatherproof jacket. Don’t leave home without warm gloves and a hat for those cooler mornings. Quality daypack with essentials: water, snacks, extra layers for the gear, and if the moment needs to be captured, take a camera with a waterproof case. Our ATV and Argo transportation will help you get through the toughest areas, but being prepared for the elements is the most important part of your safe and successful hunt.

With Newfoundland’s abundant wildlife, including the highest moose density in North America, your chances of a successful trophy hunt are much higher compared to Vermont. The combination of Newfoundland’s rich animal populations and the vast, unspoiled hunting grounds at Garia Bay Outfitters provides a hunting experience where encountering trophy-sized moose and black bears is not only possible but highly likely. For hunters used to the more limited opportunities in Vermont, this offers an exciting and rewarding challenge in an environment designed for success.

You will need to ensure that your firearm is compliant with Canadian regulations. It’s essential to familiarize yourself with the process for bringing your firearm into Canada, and our team at Garia Bay Outfitters will assist you with the necessary paperwork to make it as smooth as possible.
