Black Bear Hunting Regulations 2024
At Garia Bay Outfitters, we emphasize the importance of adhering to hunting regulations and ethical practices. This includes obtaining the necessary permits and licenses, following legal hunting seasons and bag limits, and practicing fair chase principles.

Seasons
- Spring 2024 Season: April 1, 2024, to July 13, 2024
- Fall 2024 Season: August 10, 2024, to November 30, 2024
Licensing and Permits
- A valid black bear license is required for hunting during both the spring and fall 2024 seasons.
- Bag Limits: Hunters are allowed to harvest up to two black bears per license, which can be taken either in the spring, both in the fall or one in each season. Hunters may also apply for additional licenses if they wish to harvest more than two black bears
Harvesting Regulations
- Prohibited Harvest: Female bears (sows) with cubs are protected and cannot be harvested.
- Preseason Bow Hunt: There is no preseason bow hunt for black bears in Labrador during either the spring or fall season.
