Packages for Minnesota Moose Hunters

Minnesota closed its moose hunting season in 2013 after a steep population decline, and it has never reopened. For Minnesota hunters, hunting a bull at home is simply off the table. At Garia Bay you can hunt moose again, in a province with roughly 120,000 of them and an 85% success rate on guided hunts.

If you grew up dreaming of a Minnesota moose hunt, this is the closest thing to it, guided and guaranteed a tag.

Packages for Minnesota Bear Hunters

Minnesota has a bear season, but licenses in most zones are handed out by lottery and the best areas are hard to draw. At Garia Bay, tags are limited but guaranteed with your booking, and our coastal black bears grow large on a rich natural diet.

Book a guided spring or fall black bear hunt and skip the Minnesota lottery. Check out our bear packages!

Packages For Minnesota Atlantic Salmon Anglers

Minnesota’s lakes are famous, but there are no Atlantic salmon in Minnesota. Our anglers fish for wild Atlantic salmon, Brook trout, and Sea Run trout in pristine Newfoundland rivers.

Our exclusive fishing packages pair perfectly with a moose or bear hunt.

FAQs From Our Minnesota Hunters

Garia Bay Outfitters offers a unique combination of pristine wilderness, a high concentration of wildlife, and personalized service. With access to some of the most scenic and wildlife-rich areas in Newfoundland, we provide hunters with a true adventure in an untouched natural environment. Our success rates for moose and bear hunts are among the highest in North America, thanks to the concentration of animals and our experienced guides.

Moose in Newfoundland tend to be sizable, with many reaching over 1,000 pounds. Black bears in the region can also grow large, with some exceeding 400 pounds. The combination of dense forests and abundant food sources creates optimal conditions for these animals to grow to impressive sizes, making for great trophy opportunities.

At Garia Bay Outfitters, all hunts are fully guided by experienced local guides who are knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, and the best hunting techniques. Our guides ensure that you have the highest chance of success while keeping safety as a top priority. Whether you’re an experienced hunter from Minnesota or new to the sport, our guides will assist you every step of the way.

Newfoundland’s terrain around Garia Bay is rugged, remote, and breathtakingly diverse, offering a true wilderness experience for hunters. The landscape is characterized by dense boreal forests, moss-covered ground, rolling hills, and expansive wetlands. Towering cliffs and serene, crystal-clear lakes are scattered throughout, providing stunning backdrops as you hunt. This varied terrain presents some physical challenges, especially when navigating thick underbrush, uneven rocky ground, and marshy areas.

The weather in Newfoundland can also add to the challenge, as it can shift quickly from bright and clear to foggy or rainy. High winds, cooler temperatures, and unpredictable precipitation mean it’s essential to come well-prepared with layered clothing and durable, waterproof gear. Our experienced guides will be with you every step of the way, helping you safely navigate the terrain for a successful and memorable experience.

While we cannot guarantee specific trophy sizes due to the nature of wild hunting, Garia Bay has a strong track record of producing large moose and black bears. Our area is known for having a healthy, thriving population of both species, and many hunters leave with impressive trophies. Our guides are highly experienced in identifying and targeting the best game to increase your chances of landing a trophy-worthy animal.

To legally transport your firearm from the US to Canada for hunting, you’ll need to follow specific regulations, such as completing a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration and ensuring your firearm complies with Canadian law. We strongly recommend researching the most up-to-date requirements or contacting us for guidance.
